We gratefully acknowledge the following Friends of the Foundation:

GRANTS/DONATIONS:

Miami Dade County - $425,000 multi year grant to fund The Spay Neuter Partnership, aimed at reducing the number of unwanted litters of both owned pets (of income qualifying individuals) as well as community cats in Miami Dade County .

The Batchelor Foundation- $20,000 a multi year grant for Project Unleashed veterinary medical supplies

The Banfield Foundation- $20,000 grant to Project Unleashed, for veterinary supplies administered and dispensed as take home, for the pets in need of Miami Dade residents.

The Animal Friends of Florida Grant- $25,000 grant funding supported by the purchase of Spay Neuter Auto tags for Spay Neuter Surgeries

Mercy Lab- David Smith Founder- $15,000 grant for a Trapper Stipend program aimed at facilitating the work of humane trappers in Miami Dade County who work tirelessly on TNR in the Community Cat Initiative.

The Florida Veterinary Medical Association Foundation- $10,000 grant for Project Unleashed

The Miami Foundation- $10,000 grant for a Trapper Stipend program aimed at facilitating the work of humane trappers in Miami Dade County who work tirelessly on TNR in the Community Cat Initiative. A targeting of “hot spot” areas was taken in this grant.

Pareira Family Foundation- $5,000 grant for Project Unleashed, to fund the needs of under resourced pets in Miami Dade, and helping their owners have greater access to preventive and wellness care.

Camillus House- $3,000 matching grant for Project Unleashed for wellness services for the pets of area veterans and individuals experiencing homelessness.

Miami Model Citizens for Project Unleashed- $2,500 to fund heart worm testing and prevention.

Paul D. Jacobson Trust for Animals II- $2,000 Sheryl Lowenthal, Trustee, Miami, FL

Servistree Merchant Services - An on-going cause-related program which shares a percentage of profits derived from gross sales from participating merchants using the Servicetree Merchant credit card services.

First Citizens Bank - $500 for heart worm prevention products dispensed at Project Unleashed

DISASTER RELIEF GRANTS for post hurricane disaster veterinary relief in Puerto Rico:

Banfield Foundation- $50,000 worth of urgent care supplies and vaccines in the midst of leptospirosis spread from animals to humans.

Doris Day Animal Foundation- $10,000 for urgent care supplies to aid the injured / homeless pets roaming the streets of Puerto Rico, rescued and brought to area clinics

CANINE BEHAVIORAL SERVICES:

Ceva Animal Health- Sponsor and host of MVC-PUPE Behavior CE Education Lectures

KEY LIAISONS AND GIFTS IN KIND:

Miami Pet Assistance Coalition- volunteers who never stop creating awareness, facilitating access, securing appointments for spay/neuter and transportation for residents & pets in need, provide free staffing at Project Unleashed.

Operation Paw- a team of volunteers who regularly carry out trap-neuter-release efforts for community cats and provide free staffing at Project Unleashed
