Project Unleashed
Project Unleashed (PU) is designed to provide essential veterinary care at no cost to pets belonging to under-resourced and homeless individuals.
It is with great care and compassion that we ensure these cherished pets receive the wellness and basic care they so richly deserve, bridging the gap for those who face challenges in securing such essential services for their furry family members.
Project Unleashed Pet Wellness Clinic
Project Unleashed offers basic wellness checks, vaccines, heartworm testing and prevention, flea & tick prevention, deworming, ear cleaning, nail trims, and more! Our clinics are conducted monthly, on the third Sunday, excluding December. No appointment is necessary to attend PU, making access to care as easy as possible for those in need.
Since the program's start, we have proudly served over 2,000 pets, highlighting our commitment to animal health and community welfare. Attendances sometimes exceeding 80 dogs and cats per clinic.
The Miami Veterinary Foundation organizes volunteer veterinarians, technicians, and staff to operate the clinic, which is hosted at Camillus House. The success of Project Unleashed is made possible through the commitment of our volunteer veterinarians, support staff, and students from Miami-Dade College’s Certified Veterinary Technician program. This collaboration not only guarantees high-quality care for each animal but also offers invaluable hands-on clinical experience for the next generation of veterinary technicians.
